I have been living in Thailand for about four out of the last six years. It is only recently this year that I started hitch-hiking in Thailand. I have had a lot of fun hitch-hiking in Thailand and have had a lot of success getting rides. Rides have come from all sorts of different vehicles. I have seldom had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes. I have had more success at getting rides Hitch-hiking quickly here in Thailand than anywhere else. I think it also has something to do with the types of meditation I do and using afformations.

I didn't hitch-hike in Thailand before because the other means of travel on train, bus, and plane, are all relatively inexpensive. I also didn't feel as close to the locals then as I do now that I speak the language fluently and understand the culture quite well.

Hitch-hiking in Thailand has introduced me to many nice people and new friends and I plan to continue to use hitch-hiking as an alternative means of transportation from time to time.

Are there any others out there with experiences hitch-hiking in Thailand? I would be very interested to hear of your experiences. Please comment here or otherwise get in touch with me. I wonder what it would be like for others.A Ganesha statue sits in a garden next to a motorcyle.
